About This Act :

In the words of Bob James, Chuck Loeb is "deeply rooted in the jazz tradition, but wide open finding new ways to express himself". Once a student at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Chuck Loeb relocated to the Big Apple to make a name for himself as a musician. In New York, Loeb played as sideman for, among few, Chico Hamilton, Ray Barreto and Hubert Laws. In 1979, three years after his arrival in New York, Chuck Loeb was invited to joint Stan Getz's band. Eventually, Loeb became the band's music director. However, it was not until 1989 that Loeb recorded his first solo record, "My Shining Hour".
